Making winter decorations from the garden
supporter of the GPOD Cherry Ongmakes beautiful garland each yearfor the holiday time of year , and today she is apportion a bunch of beautiful unity with us . She made all the wreaths from a combination of foraged , recycle , and/or purchased materials .
Wintry and muted — this was the second coronal I made last wintertime , and it was a gift to a practiced friend who was grieving .
This one is made from scratch with an old garland frame , Christmas tree diagram discard , foragedHederahelix(Zones 5–9 ) bloom , Leucothoe(Zones 4–6 ) and laurel foliage branches(Laurus nobilis , Zones 8–10 ) , andJacobaea maritima(Zones 7–10 ) give from asummer container . I deliver and installed this wreath for our family friends whose all - meter favorite color is red .

This berry lei lead to a friend who loves purple . Thebeautyberry(Calicarpa dichotoma , Zones 5–8 ) is from my garden . Some of the other berries are foraged too .
Here ’s a traditional chaplet breathe in by the staff of a local glasshouse where I have volunteered for the last five years . We bang a traditional , all - out , born wreath filled with goodies .

The pearl glam wreath . I love drop and just had to make one . I used a store - bought , cheap pearl garland for this one , combine with foraged white pine strobile and bay parting . The white-hot flowers were saved and dried from an old organisation .
Nature create the bestsilverandgold ! For this one I reused an one-time wreath form , Christmas tree discard , foraged ivy blossom , thuja(Thujaoccidentalis , Zones 3–7 ) , and cold miller from the garden . The only shop - bought item in this lei are the white ramification . I made this for a form friend .

I economise my cut - up foraged birch branches last twelvemonth and reused them for thiswoodlandwreath . They keep well and are much lighter too .
