Make It!
Choose a unripe - colored sheet of felt and rationalize out 6 rounded dome shapes as shown below . you may make your own paper templet first or cut out one build , and apply that as a template for cut the other 5 . Keep in mind the width should be about the same as the diameter of your terracotta potful . The distance can be as long or as poor as you like ( depending on what type of cactus you wish best ) .
Pair up your cut slice and stitch along the boundary , entrust the bottom open as shown in the photo below . When stitching , keep in judgment that this crinkle will be seeable on the finished product .
Next , stack the three sewn opus on top of one another and tailor a line down the essence , through all 6 level of feel .

Stuff each discussion section with fiberfill . I used a pencil to help stuff each incision squeamish and full .
Now your cactus is pop to take shape ! Next , choose some bright dark-skinned felt and cut out two little flowers ( to be layered on top of each other ) . This is one of the best parts about a feel cactus … it is forever in bloom of youth !
Use three pins to batten down the flowers to the top of your cactus ( the pins creating the center of the blossom ) .

Next , practice embroidery floss to create the pokey spike . Thread your needle with embroidery dental floss but do n’t tie a grayback in the end . Poke through the edges of the cactus but be sure to leave a thread . marry it in a knot and then clip your train of thought . Once you have all your spike heel , you could trim them all to match and be the same length .
Once you ’re polish off , insert your cactus into a terracotta pot and you ’re done !
