Today is the 4th installment of 26 in our year - long series called “ The Simple House Project . ” Every 2 calendar week , we publish an article or video report the cognitive process from start to finish . From permit , plan , and construction of the exterior , to the complete interior close – we trust to document the challenge , trial and tribulations of create a simple theatre that is passing cost - effectual , energy - efficient and earth - well-disposed – using only the space we truly need to go well .
One of the most exciting aspect of our “ Simple House Project ” is that so much of it will be create with our own four hired hand . For Mary and myself , it ’s not only critical to keeping the house low-priced and on budget – but a fashion for us to do what we love together – make and build !
Although the complete timeline and budget of the project will be cross in a future update – today ’s article is all about separating the tasks we can fill in , and those we ca n’t .

The real key to achiever in any large project is know what you could do – and cook sure you have great people doing what you ca n’t . There are four major surface area of the home that we are leaving to experient professionals : the grading / foundation , the septic organisation , digging and establish the H2O well , and the building of the exterior house shell .
Luckily for us , when it comes to the four things we ca n’t do – we have some swell relationships with some experienced professional person to rely on .

We will also stamp and tarnish the concrete surface to double as our kitchen , hallway and bathroom storey – not only a cool look – but a vast savings in wind up costs and sluttish to maintain !

What is the old locution – we make love enough to be dangerous ? Well , when it comes to the internal tasks – Mary and I have a tidy sum of combined experience in completing much of what will need to be done . However , we are also very golden to have a great set of Friend and crime syndicate with professional experience and accreditation that can help us along the way . ( you know who you are 🙂 )
