I thought I would partake in this ikon of myVitex(chaste Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree , Zones 6–10 ) in bud . I have bask this shrub for many years with its blue / purple flower spikes . It reminds some of a buddleia orlilac , but I opt the vitex flower . I also have it in blank ( alba ) in a tree form . Just last class I was thrilled to find a pinkish diversity and have summate it to my garden . It is a young plant and the peak are not as prominent as the juicy / over-embellished single , but I am hopeful . It is a magnet for bees and butterfly , and sometimes it ’s difficult to get near enough to cut some stems for a bouquet because of all the meddlesome bees . It enjoys full sunlight and isdrought tolerant , deciduous , and stalwart in my Zone 6 . The leaf is large , with five leaflet . This China native is popular in the southern part of the United States , especially Texas .
