Today ’s photos are from Marie Stager in San Jose , California . Marie says,“When we first move into this house in 1992 there were principally redwood trees , pine trees , birch rod tree diagram , lawn , a slew of prominent agapanthus . I did n’t experience a lot about flora back then , but I did know what I did and did n’t like . It was n’t long before I realized that gardening really was my passion , so I began taking classes and soon after started a landscape design business organization ( that was 10 years ago ) .
“ Our backyard has basically been my playground . My destination has been to make a beautiful landscape that is also drought liberal and low maintenance ( is n’t that what everyone endeavour for ? ) . It ’s finally there . Other than some weed - overstretch and deadheading , it ’s pretty easy to hold .
“ We ’re in California so growing citrus is a must , and we would LOVE to add other fruit trees to the yard , but it ’s very difficult to keep the squirrels at bay . One side yard is devoted to vegetables and herb , and a beautiful lilac bush that has produce from a small cutting which originated from a plant life my grandmother had many days ago .

“ We used to think we require to plant something magniloquent to hide our garden shed , until I realize that painting it the same colour as the house and adding a path would in reality make it a more inviting surface area – we ’re very well-chosen with how it turned out . The flagstone used for the path was leftover from our front railyard project . Future plans for the yard admit reducing the lawn ( to keep up water ) and adding out-of-door kitchen and firepit arena . We have a go at it entertaining and those elements would certainly impart to the use . ”
Wow , great occupation , Marie ! Thanks for sharing it with us ! * * check out the caption for more information * *
