Today ’s photos are from Kathy Sturr in Clayton , New York , waaaaaay up northward , near Lake Ontario and the Canadian border . Kathy says,“This is a section of my garden I call the bird & butterfly garden . It was the first area of my garden I create . I have endeavor to let in perennials that propose seeds and ambrosia for butterflies and hiss .
I have embed bee balm , black - eyed susans , daisy , genus Echinacea ( purple cone flowers ) , helianthus ( repeated sunflower ) , and swamp milkweed ( which can be a host plant for monarch cat ) , just to name a few , as well as some ornamental skunk . I make love how this border deepen through the seasons . ”What a nifty transformation , Kathy . Thanks for sharing this garden with us , and the birds and butterfly stroke !
