Today ’s photos are from Brenda Addington ’s Zone 7B garden in Suwanee , Georgia . She says,“I have been gardening for over 25 yr , and have been influenced by my female parent ’s garden ( she ’s German ) and all the European gardens I have witnessed during my travels to Europe produce up . I started this garden 6 years ago , and this is my third garden and is definitely one of my most thought-provoking to produce .
I spent the first few years digging up the beds in my backyard and filling them with nutritious - rich compost and addressing the many drain issues . I decided to make my garden more of a “ woodland / cottage ” style garden to fit with our surroundings since I live in a Natural Reserve Community along the Chattahoochee River . My garden consists of over 100 roses , 50 + paeony . K of bulbs , hydrangea , iris , 25 Japanese maple , and over 100 conifers . I discovered an interestingness in conifers after I actualise many of my prized flowering plants suffered from the appetite of the deer ; plus conifers sum up colour and texture to my garden all year round .
Over the geezerhood , I have added a destiny of stonework to the garden such as a stacked stone column arch , a outpouring , stacked Isidor Feinstein Stone edging and stairs , a ironic creek layer , and , my favorite , a stone bridge deck over the dry brook bed . My garden is forever evolve as I research fresh idea and works , colour dodge , and style of circumvent the cervid by pretend into vertical horticulture with arbors , pergola , trellis and even growing clematis up pine trees ! I roll in the hay coloration in the garden !

Container horticulture is also a heat . I lie with finding unique containers and filling them up with colourful industrial plant cloth all yr around . I lately created a web log to publish more information about my garden and to connect with other gardener atwww.thegracefulgardener.com . Connecting with other gardeners take a crap me think “ outside the box ” by experimenting with new plant life material and creative idea ! ”
Gorgeous , Brenda ! We ’ll see a few more photos from Brenda ’s garden tomorrow . Stay tune !
