More, more, and more tulips!

We ’re back today with photos that Marilyn Regnier shared with us of her once - in - a - lifespan trip to see the famousKeukenhof spring peak - bulb displays . The parking lot in Lisse , Netherlands , shows off billion of bulbs each spring , with display that are both over the top and full of ideas you may take home — on a low scale — to your own garden .

white-hot and chickenhearted tulips are always beautiful , but the colors just seem to grow in a shaded timber set . At Keukenhof , the light bulb are dig out up after bloom and refreshful ones are planted each year , so they do n’t have to worry about the tulips perennializing . At home , tulips can also be treat like annuals , especially if you garden in a quick clime , but you could get them to fare back year after twelvemonth by planting them in full sunshine , giving them good drain , and prefer varieties like the Darwin cross that are well adapted to life in the garden .

abstractionist sculptures dotted throughout the park provide an emphasis to the incredible floral display .

For a fiery , attention - grabbing combination , nothing beat yellow and blood-red .

A   softer tincture of orange combined with yellow make for a slightly calmer impression .
