When I started this web log a year and a half ago , I never envisage some of the side benefit .
I ’ve gain quite a few fresh protagonist , gotten helpidentifying rarified specie , been hired to write byother good sitesand even end up with somegreat teaching gigs .
Beyond that , though … checkingmy PO boxhas now become an adventure .

Check out a few of the nifty things that have arrived randomly in the mail .
SEEDS ! Lots and quite a little of unearthly seeds . Plus a great letter of the alphabet that included this printout :
I laughed out aloud .

I also have no approximation where you ’d get chocolate pud yield seeds . you may find the tree for sale down in S. Florida , though . They wo n’t grow up here , sadly , because they ’re not very cold-blooded tolerant . ( Maybe that ’s a breeding undertaking I should undertake ) . I planted one inThe Great South Florida Food Forest Project … if that makes seeds , I ’ll post some to you , Kathy .
Finally … at one of my late talking , my champion Louise at random gave me a altogether cool book :
That ’s from 1902 and is quite a fun read … the authoress is quite amusing , plus the illustrations are grand :

Beyond these gifts , I ’ve been given tropical celery ( thanks , Jorge ! ) … sent hazelnut seedlings ( awful , Jay ! ) … and even bugger off a tool or two to try out .
folk music ask me if this web log makes any money . The resolution is : very , very petty . About $ 3 - 5 a month in Amazon sales .
I ’ve been tell , “ David … why would you spend all that prison term doing a daily gardening blog that does n’t give you anything ? ”

My answer : living is more than money .
Trading seeds and getting random present tense from people that appreciate the enquiry and knowledge I partake in … that ’s satisfy .
One day I may strike it rich … but I already feel rich .

give thanks you all .
