As I write this on our farm in the upstate of South Carolina , a chilly January rainwater is falling outside . I can see the drops follow off the eaves of the planetary house from the windowpane behind my desk . The trees are silhouetted against the white-haired skies and I know the rosebush , while sleep , are thankful for the rain .

On my desk are some of the new rose catalogues featuring a brilliant tapestry of blooms and teases of spring to come . A 24-hour interval like this a serious one to give those catalogues because all those roses depend just a flake brighter on a chilly , slating hued January day .

Currently have and operated by Mark Chamblee , this family owned patronage was established in 1953 and has been in uninterrupted surgical operation ever since . Quite an achievement on its own ! They offer over 300 different mixed bag of rose and continually spread out new one in and out on a steady basis . Mark has a keen eye for finding interesting new varieties and throughly tests them himself before adding them to list of Chamblee offerings .

All the roses offered by Chamblee ’s Rose Nursery areown - root rosiness . Their minimum size is one - congius and they also proffer some in declamatory size . This mean you are aim a very well established plant that will apace take off when planted in your garden .

Pay particular tending to theEarth Kind Roses . Earth Kind rosebush are tested in no nebulizer , no irrigate ( after the first year ) precondition and only those that make the cut get the Earth Kind appellative . If you are Modern to rose , or diffident which have great disease immunity this is a great place to commence .

If you are a buff of David Austin Roses and prefer them on their own roots , Chamblee ’s a nifty rootage for these .
