We ’re all so busybodied during these last few week before the Holidays , that it ’s hard to rake a breaking from all of the cooking , decorating , shopping and essay to finish up everything at work before the year comes to an last . I look forward to my Christmas break because thankfully , I do get one , with only a span more 24-hour interval of work until January 4th . I ca n’t wait . Hopefully , it will give me some free time to work on the web log , in the greenhouse , and to just relax and capture up on some recital . I always treat myself to one , good order of antique horticulture Bible , which I can loose myself in .
Here are some bulbs , citrus and camellia which are dominating the nursery this warm December in New England .
Of course , there is also the greenhouse , and work does n’t end in there ; We are experience some minor plumbery issues – ask a new faucet , and a new hose but most of the tasks are just the fun case – repotting , stake tropaeolum vines , which I still am experimenting with in an attempt to find the sodding trellis system for these flyspeck vine . Some older tuber however are being a routine more aggressive this year , one large 24 inch potentiometer of a Tropaeolum x brachyceras has so many stems emerge that I ca n’t even count them . I enquire if it break open or multiplied this year ? Right now , it look as if it could take per the greenhouse ! I may just condition it onto a tall pillar of chicken conducting wire .

I so love C , but I have to admit that this unseasonably quick sun was healing . I ’m by all odds thankful for the break as well , since I have not been able to make clip to wrap the greenhouse glassful inside with bubble wrap – maybe we will be lucky and El Nino will grant us a mild winter ? I am kind - of OK with 60 degrees F in December – my heating plant bill for the wintertime so far has been $ 42 . Ca n’t complain about that , but it does make me sound like an old fart – I should be hoping for C , and a white Christmas like 5 year quondam Matt somewhere at heart of me .
